What We Do
Our Financial Literacy pillar is a targeted effort to provide participants with practical tools and knowledge to navigate the complexities of managing finances in the context of parenthood. From budgeting and saving strategies to understanding credit and debt management, our program offers a comprehensive curriculum.
Our Job Readiness pillar is a comprehensive initiative aimed at equipping participants with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to enter and thrive in the workforce. Through a combination of vocational training, mentorship, and career counseling, we empower young parents to overcome employment barriers.
Our Parenting Pillar serves to provide a structured and nurturing environment for participants to enhance their parenting skills and promote healthy child development.
The curriculum covers a range of topics, including effective communication, child nutrition, early childhood education, and emotional well-being.
How Does It Work?
The Upton Program (TUP) is a 6-month program providing curriculum tailored to young parents ages 18-25 to assist them in the advancement of their financial literacy, career path, and overall family health. Each week in the program, young parents are guided through lessons while being financial compensated for their time, receiving a meal, childcare, and transportation assistance. TUP is supported by expert facilitators, community mentors, and the organization founders to foster an accessible space for young parents growth.
